LiL Bitz Catering was started by Chef Kimmie Davenport from Hell's Kitchen Season 10 and her husband Chef Robert Davenport!
They met on the greyhound in 2011 on the way back from Miami. They kept in touch and then 3 months later Kimmie moved to Texarkana with Robert and they started a relationship.Once they moved back to Memphis,TN in May of 2012, Kimmie started her interviews for Hell's Kitchen.At this time Robert and Kimmie started talking about opening up their own catering business. And then Robert told her about when his family had a restaurant back in the day and the name was "Little Bits and Pieces".
The restaurant was only open a few days before someone drove a car into it and they lost everything. So when names started coming up for the catering business they came up with something of their own but something of the past "LiL Bitz Catering". "From five star to soul food we serve lil bits of everything" is their motto.
They have a lot of culinary experience between the two of them, and both are very well rounded chefs. They let you help with the menu, you give them the ideas that you want and they come up with a killer menu.
Robert has a degree in Culinary Arts while Kimmie has worked with many great chefs including Chef Gordon Ramsay on Hell's Kitchen. So needless to say these two were made for each other and the catering business. Now that the wedding is finished, they are focusing on the catering business and getting their names out there as outstanding Chefs!
